FAQ
- Can I upload a FIT file without a source platform account?
Yes. In a version that supports FIT imports, open the activity page and choose Import FIT, or open a .fit file with VaBridge from another app. Check the file details and target Strava account, then confirm the upload. Only a Strava connection is required; the file is not uploaded automatically when selected. - Why does an imported activity still show as processing?
Strava may still be processing the file after accepting the upload. This is not yet a confirmed successful activity. Check its status again from the import history and check Strava before uploading the same file again. If the upload fails, check the file, your Strava connection, and your network; source platform sign-in is not required for FIT imports.

After syncing, why is the track shifted in Strava, or why does elevation look abnormal?
These two issues are usually connected: an incorrect GPS coordinate system setting can shift the track in Strava. Strava calculates elevation gain from the ride track using elevation data in its own database, so a shifted track can also make elevation gain abnormal. VaBridge can manually correct track shift and abnormal elevation gain. Open the settings page for the corresponding source platform and find the GPS coordinate conversion switch labeled Enable if synced tracks are shifted in Strava. If the track is shifted, toggle the switch once (turn it on if it is off, or turn it off if it is on), then delete the problematic activity from Strava and sync the activity record to Strava again. In most cases, after toggling the switch and syncing again, the track and elevation gain will return to normal. -
What should I check first when something goes wrong?
Please first check whether a newer version of VaBridge is available: iPhone users can check the App Store, and Android users can use the Android download link on the VaBridge home page. If there is an update, install it before trying again. Then open the VaBridge home page and check whether there is an in-app notice near the bottom. For urgent or temporary issues, such as a third-party backend interface upgrade, VaBridge will post a notice there when possible. -
How do I connect my Garmin, Magene China, Coros, or iGPSPORT account?
Please make sure you can sign in successfully in the official app or website first, then return to VaBridge and complete the connection flow. If the official service itself has login issues, requires verification, or is temporarily unavailable, VaBridge may also fail to connect. -
How do I sign in to Garmin Connect China or International?
Both Garmin Connect China and Garmin Connect International use web sign-in only. Open the corresponding Garmin page from VaBridge and complete sign-in on the official page; username-and-password sign-in inside VaBridge and a separate 2FA sign-in option are no longer provided. Garmin Connect International may ask you to complete a human-verification check on its official page. After a successful web sign-in, VaBridge can reuse the saved local session for later syncing when available. -
How do I authorize Strava?
When you tap Connect with Strava in VaBridge, the app opens Strava’s official OAuth page. Make sure the browser or in-app web view is signed in with the Strava account you want to bind, then approve the authorization request. After you return to VaBridge, the app updates the current connection state, connected account, and connection expiry countdown. If everything succeeds, the status shows Connected. The Strava account binding is only removed after 30 consecutive days without any successful sync through VaBridge. At that point, you need to bind it again manually. One successful activity sync resets the 30-day countdown. -
What do Connected, Expired, Revoked, or Reconnect Required mean?
Connected means the Strava connection is currently available. Expired or Reconnect Required means VaBridge has gone 30 consecutive days without a successful sync, so the Strava account binding has been removed and you need to authorize again manually. Revoked usually means the connection was disconnected or authorization was revoked. One successful activity sync resets the 30-day countdown. -
What should I do if syncing from a source platform fails?
Try again first. If it still fails, check whether VaBridge has an update in the App Store or through the Android download link on the home page, and whether there is a notice on the home page. You can also check these items: 1) whether the source platform account is still online, 2) whether the Strava connection state has become Expired, Revoked, or Reconnect Required, 3) whether the activity record has already appeared successfully on Garmin Connect China or International, Magene China, Coros, or iGPSPORT, and 4) whether the network is stable. If the issue continues, please send the error message and what happened to xiaoqiang.dong@gmail.com. Sync failures are often caused by third-party device platforms upgrading their backend data interfaces, and we will check as soon as possible. -
Why can’t I see a record right after finishing a workout?
For platform syncing, a new activity usually needs to be uploaded from your device to Garmin Connect China or International, Magene China, Coros, or iGPSPORT first, and only then can VaBridge sync it to Strava. If the activity is not visible on the official platform yet, VaBridge cannot sync it immediately through that platform. If you already have the FIT activity file, you can import it directly into VaBridge and upload it to Strava. -
How do I disconnect authorization?
You can disconnect the platform account inside VaBridge. The app will also disconnect the current Strava connection. After disconnecting, you can connect again later. If you want to remove access directly on Strava as well, you can also remove VaBridge from Strava’s connected apps settings. -
How do language, appearance, and keep-screen-awake settings work?
In Settings → General, you can switch app language, choose Dark or Light appearance, and decide whether VaBridge should keep the screen awake during syncing. These preferences are stored locally on your device. -
How do I clear local data?
You can use the in-app local data and cache cleanup function. After cleanup, you will need to sign in and authorize again, but this will not directly delete activity records that already exist on third-party platforms.
About the Product
VaBridge is built to move workout records from Garmin, Magene China, Coros, and iGPSPORT into Strava with less friction, so your running, cycling, and other activities stay in one cleaner flow. Garmin support includes completed activities from both Garmin Connect China and Garmin Connect International. You can also import individual FIT activity files and upload them to Strava without connecting a source platform account.
To upload activities, connect your Strava account. A source platform account is needed only when syncing from that platform; importing a FIT file does not require one. You may only sync or import data that you personally own or are authorized to access. VaBridge is an independently developed tool, is not officially affiliated with those source platforms, and is an approved data importer for Strava. Third-party service availability, login state, or API changes may affect syncing results.
Data & Privacy
You can actively connect or disconnect third-party accounts and clear local data at any time. For details on how data is processed, the applicable risk notice, and the rules for using the service, please refer to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use & Risk Notice below.

Strava?
如果问题还在,请把错误提示和失败现象发给我,推荐邮件发送到 xiaoqiang.dong@gmail.com。
